As a depiction of 2D design paper cutout media, this work took much planning and concentration in regards to the positive and negative space of the picture plane. It was originally created with one design in a 7x7 in square that was multiplied into 4 squares and put together to create the repetition and fluidity of the whole composition. With the artist’s love for portraiture and faces as well as the style of contour art, this piece was constructed.
